Empowering Rural Communities through Clean Water Initiative

We are bringing clean drinking water to remote villages, reducing waterborne diseases and improving daily life for thousands of families.

The Water Crisis in Remote Villages For generations, families in the rural outskirts have walked miles daily just to fetch water from muddy ponds and open rivers. These water sources are often contaminated, leading to frequent illnesses, especially among children under the age of five.

Our Solution: Instating Clean Water Wells The Shivam Thakur Foundation launched the Clean Water Initiative with the goal of installing deep tube wells in water-scarce areas. By working with local village heads, we identify the most vulnerable spots and drill down to secure, pristine groundwater.

Each installation includes:

- A deep tube well fitted with a heavy-duty manual pump.

- A concrete platform to prevent surface water runoff from contaminating the well.

- Training sessions for local youth to handle minor mechanical repairs.

The Impact Since we started in 2024, our foundation has successfully installed **18 clean water wells** across 12 villages. Over **8,000 residents** now have round-the-clock access to safe, clean drinking water. Medical centers in these districts report a **70% decrease in waterborne diseases**, and children are missing fewer school days.

Our goal is to reach 50 wells by the end of next year. Your continued support and volunteer efforts make this dream a reality.

This is a wonderful initiative by the Shivam Thakur Foundation. Clean drinking water is indeed a basic necessity that should be accessible to every village. Keep up the amazing work!

Excellent read. The reduction in waterborne illnesses is a huge milestone for these villages. I would love to volunteer in the next tube well installation drive.
